Who We Are
Global Medical Intelligence Group (GMIG) is a medical advocacy and case review organization founded by physicians, health advocates, and community practitioners who recognized a recurring issue: Black and other racialized individuals often face dismissal, misunderstanding, or lack of support during critical medical situations. GMIG addresses this by providing high-quality clinical reviews and culturally safe, plain-language support that families can use at the bedside, in clinics, and at home.
GMIG’s core services include helping individuals understand their health, organizing and interpreting medical records, and preparing them to advocate for themselves and their families in high-stakes healthcare situations. Through structured medical record reviews, case consultations, and critical or wrongful-death analyses, the team collaborates with licensed physicians and trained health liaisons to translate complex information into clear options and actionable next steps.
GMIG offers ongoing memberships for seniors and adults with complex conditions, providing a dedicated contact for questions, appointment preparation, and post-hospital follow-up. This support is backed by secure digital infrastructure and a growing network of Black women physicians and allied professionals who contribute clinical expertise and community insight to each case.
In addition to individual advocacy, GMIG develops educational resources, tools, and training for families, community organizations, and care providers. These include posters, guides, workshops, and curricula aimed at addressing bias, improving communication, and enhancing safety for racialized patients. The long-term goal is to build an independent, trusted layer of medical intelligence that ensures people are heard, respected, and better protected in any healthcare setting.
